John Chow dot Com - The Miscellaneous Ramblings of a Dot Com Mogul is a super popular blog run by, would you believe, a guy named John Chow. If you never heard of this name before, be sure you won’t forget it for as while as your memory serves you well, I know I won’t.
So who is this unforgettable John dot Mogul person anyway?
John Chow lives in Vancouver, Canada. He ran a print shop for over a decade before he got glued to the World Wide Web on April 1999. That year he started The TechZone – a small site that grew to be one of the largest hardware tech sites on the Internet. That obviously wasn’t enough for him so he started John Chow dot Com and got his name heard all over the net. Now let’s skip to my review of John Chow dot Com.
What do I find bad about John Chow dot Com?
I wasted a lot of my precious time and energy to find something bad about John Chow dot Com and this is the only thing I managed to come up with:
John Chow will literary rob you of your traffic. How? When people visit his blog, it’s likely that they’ll forget majority of other sites they’ve been loyal to. Take me for example; once you read this review, I’ll be lucky if you ever find your way back to this blog. Shame on you John!
What do I find good about John Chow dot Com?
In all my years of surfing the net I never came across of a headline that is so relevant to the site’s content, so let’s break it down to pieces:
John Chow dot Com - The Miscellaneous Ramblings of a Dot Com Mogul
John Chow – it’s a catchy, memorable name like Bruce Lee or Jackie Chan (imagine having a name like Arnold Schwarzenegger in your domain name). His name, amongst other things, helped him to get close with his worldwide audience by connecting with them on a personal level, making them feel like his friends.
The Miscellaneous Ramblings – let’s take a look at some of the blog’s categories: AGLOCO, Cars, Fine Dining, Investing, Make Money From A Blog, Ramblings, Technology, The Net, Videos, Wordpress… If you say this isn’t enough to be called miscellaneous, then you don’t know the meaning of the word! It’s truly a rare occasion when you get to find a site that mixes moneymaking tips with lists of places where you can grab a good meal. Unbelievably miscellaneous!
Dot Com Mogul – is John Chow really an Internet Mogul? Well, if you compare him with men like Bill Gates, he will look like more of a homeless person than a mogul. However, if you compare him with the majority of other webmasters out there, you would consider him to be the Sultan of Arabia. Is he a mogul? I believe he is!
What can John Chow do for you?
I mentioned earlier that John Chow robs you of your traffic; maybe I was a bit harsh on him. John Chow host’s a program called Review My Blog. John will place a link to your site in exchange for a review of John Chow dot Com 100% guaranteed! That link will certainly make your traffic explode! Is there a catch?
No, all you have to do is write a 200-word review and place 2 links, one to his home page and one to Review My Blog. Another great thing is that the category and the language of the site don’t matter. For example, if you have a site about chicken farms written in Swahili, your site will still not get rejected. The ranking and age of your site are also irrelevant!
On top of all this, John will reward the best review with this Mini TV USB. It’s a small incentive to make the writers work harder on their reviews. Brilliant!
