A while ago I was working on a post about the main reasons people quit blogging. If I had published that story, I would have missed out on a very important fact - computer trouble.
I took a couple of days off blogging last week and soon as I got back in the saddle, my freaking internet connection got totally screwed up. During the last four days it took an average of 2-3 minutes for some pages to load and a lot of them wouldn't load at all... and that's really bad considering my 1 Mbps DSL connection which normally allows my pages to load in 2-3 seconds.
This whole situation made it impossible for me to find time and nerves to research and write posts over these last 4 days. Everything looks good today and I hope it'll stay that way, because I don't think I can take it anymore:

Oh my gosh I hate it when I have computer and internet problems. I hope yours are over for a while, at least.
Reading posts like this reminds me that I need to buy an external hard drive to back up all my data. And I really need some fall back procedures in case I lose my connection. It would definitely take me a day or two to remember all the passwords and set up my routers all over again.
Did you ever publish the story? I would imagine "burnout" being highly rated.
it's not about your internet connection. it's about their hosting... the server load...
I remember when my cable internet connection broke and to load a page took 2-3 minutes. Right during the time i was redesigning my entire website.

I'm pissed off the other day when somebody decided to misplace my Swiss Army Knife. It has sentimental value to me.
Same here guys i also hate when i am working on my site and internet disconnect or i playing then it will disconnect anytime.
I hate it when that happens...usually a simple restart solves the problem. Although, my little one who just learned how to walk about a couple weeks ago has found a way to push the standby button on the cable used for the internet...the little booger :)
Nothing pisses me off like lack of Internet! Lol
We used to use a local outfit for our net access because they were about $10 cheaper a month...problem is they were always down...very difficult to run a web based business when your net is going down.
So we switched to the big name guys and haven't had problems since. Strangely both services were running off of the same DSL lines :o
Yes, I hate when that happens. You need to choose your internet provider wisely. One that doesnt need "repairs" every other day.

ALWAYS research you internet provider. Chack that they have been in the business for a while and know what they are doing. ALWAYS. HAIR
