When I wrote my farewell post some months ago, I stated that I'll only come back if two statements became reality, but unfortunately, they haven't. However, the is another fact I didn't account for... I'm crazy about blogging!
To elaborate, I gave up on blogging because of my crippled moneymaking possibilities (not being able to profit from PayPal and all that). I was frustrated at first, but I came to peace with it. You know - Sh*t happens. I came to peace with the fact that I won't be able to become filthy rich on the net, but as time went along I became miserable not being able to share my thoughts and knowledge (and vice versa) with other like and not so like-minded individuals... In other words, I missed blogging to much!
I'm coming back to blog, dollars are no longer my preoccupation, which takes a lot of pressure of my back. I believe there's a lesson to be learned there:
What can you expect from this blog from now on?
During the course of the summer I got employed and now my blogging time is quite limited. That means that Blog About Money Online is turning its focus from quantity to QUALITY! You can expect only top notch stories from now on...
If you're a blogspot blogger...
...It's your lucky day. In this era of Wordpress powered self-hosted domains, Blogs with the .blogspot.com suffix are getting more and more underrated. Surely Wordpress has more gizmo's and gadgets and .com domains strike as more professional, but if you really make an effort, having a blogspot blog won't make too big of a difference.
What was I saying? Ah, yes. From now on this blog will serve as an example of what can and can't be accomplished with a blogspot blog, something like a prolonged case study so stay tunned, it will be exciting!

So, you had to admit that making money trough your blog didn't worked. I never expected this to happen. Not directly, tho.
I have a site trough which I sell my services. My blog is there to help. And, about a year after I started, it starts working. I became one of the top sites on Goole for my keywords in my county, and people start enquiring. Jobs start coming in.
I never expected anything else from my blog. No AdSense, no sponsor, nothing. Just visitors and readers.
But blogging is far more than money, blogging is a state of mind, it's social relations, it's being part of an elite...

I admitted that money making with my blog didn't work, but that was solely because of my issues with PayPal.

I am new to your blog, so not sure what happened at Paypal...in MHO Paypal sucks!
I absolutely refuse to use them anymore! Long story there but have seen how they treat too many businesses using their services. I found plenty of ways to make money without using them, without all the worries they bring...and am plenty happy doing business without them!
Just had to get that off my chest! lol
I think the neat thing you said in your post was that you are now doing this because it is something you are passionate about. And now you say it is Quality vs. Quantity...good for you!
You may just find that is where things will turn around for you:)
